Can I re-use my face mask?

If you’re using a Single Use Non-Medical Surgical Style Face Mask or a Type IIR Medical Use Fluid Resistant Surgical Mask your mask is suitable for one wear and must be disposed of following guidelines after each use. If the surface of the mask becomes damp or soiled replace immediately with a new mask.

We recommend against cleaning and re-using single use or disposable face masks.

If you’re using a Micro Particle Protective Face Mask KN95 or Micro Particle Protective Face Mask KN95 Slimline mask for a long period of time then re-use is not recommended. However if you have work your mask for only a short time and the mask is not damaged or soiled it is possible to wear the mask again for another short period.

Whether you reuse your mask or not is a personal choice and should only be done should you feel comfortable re-wearing your mask, we do not advise that KN95 masks be re-work after extended periods of use.

If you are using a Corporate Micro Particle Protective Face Mask, this can be re-used; however the replacement filter should be removed and disposed of with each wear if it has been worn for an extended period.

Can I wash my mask?

Single Use Non-Medical Surgical Style Face Masks, a Type IIR Medical Use Fluid Resistant Surgical Masks, a Micro Particle Protective Face Mask KN95 and Micro Particle Protective Face Mask KN95 Slimline Masks are not suitable for washing as this would damage the effectiveness of the masks.

If any of the above masks are soiled or stained they should be disposed of safely.
